Marquee Styles, Sizes & Prices
Classic peaked marquees come in 3m, 4.5m and 6m widths, from $300 for a 3m x 3m to $2,400 for a 6m x 30m. Clearspan structure marquees have no internal poles and range from $485 (3m x 6m) to $7,300 (10m x 30m). Clear roof marquees run from $1,400 (10m x 5m) to $6,200 (10m x 20m). Electron pole marquees come in 9m widths, from $1,630 (9m x 9m) to $3,056 (9m x 21m).
What Size Marquee Do I Need?
Allow 1 to 1.5 square metres per guest for a cocktail party and 2 to 2.5 square metres per guest for a seated dinner. A 6m x 9m marquee (54m²) holds about 36 to 54 guests standing, or 22 to 27 seated. Add space for a dance floor, bar or band.
Can a Marquee Go in My Backyard?
Classic peaked and Clearspan marquees install on grass or hard surfaces such as driveways and paving, using pegs or weights. Electron pole marquees must be pegged into soft ground and need about 3 metres of extra space around the marquee for ropes. Betta Event Hire can arrange a site inspection to check your space.
Flooring, Heating & Lighting for Your Marquee
Most marquee events add flooring, outdoor heaters and festoon lighting. Betta Event Hire supplies all three, so the whole setup comes from one place.
